The continuously growing contamination with electromagnetic radiation from mobile phones, electric devices, mains and railway power lines, etc. exposes us everywhere and at all times to electric smog. More and more people are rightfully concerned and see the resulting harm for their health and wellness. The number of persons seeking information about the health consequences of electromagnetic radiation constantly increases. Many people look ahead and need low-radiation products protecting from the effects of electric smog.
A range of products, which supposedly or for real avoid electric smog or protect the human body from its effects, parallels this development. For laypersons as for professionals it is nearly impossible to verify the characteristics of these products, such as “protects against electric smog” or “low-radiation”, before the buying decision.
In the IGEF test and research lab an in the IGEF-approved measuring labs products are tested regarding their electric smog protection characteristics to give consumers decision support. To identify suitable products the International Association for Electric Smog Research created the IGEF Seal of Approval, which is registered as a brand mark with the German Patent and Trademark Office under number 39642272.
This seal of approval is awarded to low-radiation electric and/or electronic devices and products protecting against electric smog. For this the protective characteristics of the product must be positively demonstrated in a certification procedure specified by the International Association for Electric Smog Research IGEF. The test results for the product are documented in a certificate of the International Association for Electric Smog Research IGEF. The International Association for Electric Smog Research IGEF certifies the award of the IGEF Seal of Approval.
